On many ocasions multiple rolls will occure in the same area. 2 combinations means 50%, 3 combinations means 33,3% etc. The chances of drawing an item are the same and depend on the possible combinations. You would have to load a manual save and repeat some part of the game. Some places (like Severed Hand) are a little bit more complicated - you cannot acess all the places after entering the area, but the rolling is already done.
